“Loving thoughts are always good; anything else is a cry for healing or help”
Think about the last time you were around someone who said something negative, something judgmental, something that just felt like it pulls energy away from you...my guess is that it didn’t happen very long ago. Maybe even moments ago....maybe it was even you who said it!
Try this tactic to switch your perspective....we need to change the way we think in order to create the best energy flow for our best life.
- Name the feeling of how the negative statement impacted you. Was it anger? Sadness? Fear? Jealousy? Rejection?
- Once you know the feeling, close your eyes and see if you can imagine where that feeling lives in your body. Is it in your gut, your throat, your legs, your heart, your eyes? And get to know the “texture” of that feeling – is it hot, mushy, chaotic, bubbling, heavy? Describe the feeling more.
- Now comes the replacement phase. Decide, no, CHOOSE, how you want that part of your body to feel. Do you want it to be spacious, open, bright, big...what do you want the texture of it to feel like?
- Now give this new texture a new feeling....is it calm, happy, content, peaceful, bliss, joy, passion? And focus intently on this feeling until you feel it in your bones.
It takes no time at all to practice shifting your perspective. We tend to get into the habit of feeling bad all the time. Do this simple 4 step process everyday and see how it affects you. Let me know how it goes and call me if you want some support on it. I thrive on shifting perspectives from negative to positive....it will make my day and yours J!

Use the Summer to Prepare for Fall
Entrepreneurs don’t ever stop thinking about ways to improve themselves or their businesses...this much I know having worked with you all for so many years. And the summer time is no different. As much as schedules shift around in the summer, many small business owners take the summer months to prepare themselves and their businesses for the busy Fall season. So enSpire Coaching is offering a fantastic 2-part “Get You and Your Business Fall-Ready” workshop series. It’s cost-effective, time-effective and a great chance to work ON your business in a creative entrepreneurial environment. Here are the details:
- Thursday, July 30th, 9 – noon AND Thursday, August 13th, 9 – noon
- It’s only $80 plus GST in total for 6 hours of focused, educational coaching and business planning; bring a friend for $150 plus GST for TWO
- Walk away with a “Fall-ready” attitude and tangible action plan for your business
- Meet other entrepreneurs who will help you grow your business
- I’d love for there to be at a minimum 20 people registered but better yet, 50 people in attendance would create a fantastic vibe and community so SPREAD the word.

Personal Reflection
So you were probably wondering what my 24 hour retreat was like....let’s see. In two words....”too short”. My intention was to just let everything go and see what it was that would happen if I did not plan anything and just let myself be. It was incredibly crazy observing myself over the course of 24 hours. Off I went last Wednesday to my little secluded B and B in the middle of nothing but vineyards, got into my yoga practice using a downloaded podcast and my instructor’s voice says “do you have a manic mind”. Well, that’s exactly what it was. My mind WAS manic and I really discovered just how freakishly manic it was. It took me the entire yoga class to find a breath that felt full and fueling. It amazed me how much shallow breathing I was in the habit of doing on a daily basis. Once I got there – thank God I did – I journaled for a couple of hours and after weeks of doing, I finally heard my body screaming for “rest”, lots of it apparently. I was asleep before 8pm and did not wake up until 6 the next morning. I don’t think I even moved; I was comatose. The next morning, I found myself with a renewed energy that I don’t typically find after a night’s rest. I was more clear, more energized, more alert, more observant. After a short run and meditation, my little B and B became a creative studio – I had papers, crayons, markers, music, STUFF all over the place as I started to create an intention for my life. I wrote a future letter for myself for 5 years from now and I am SO excited to be creating it as we speak. It’s amazing what a little breath, a little space and a little permission can do. I highly recommend it..
