Greatness Tip!

It is with mixed feelings that I approach this time of year.  I will miss hanging out with my two girls and doing fun activities and day trips however I am looking forward to the more regular routine of the school year.

So, what does this September bring you?  In many ways, September is a New Year so have you set an intention for how you would like this year to be for you?  What would you like to accomplish? How would you like to be, now that the more casual months of summer have gone?  As you go about planning your next few months, please keep in mind one thing – the more you give yourself, the more you have to give others!  In other words, often times, we tend to set too many goals, are too hard on ourselves and forget to have fun!  So remember to be kind and good to yourself  - sign up for a course you’ve always wanted to take, invest in your own personal growth or simply indulge  in a small treat and savour it.  Giving to yourself first provides you with the sense of peace and balance you need to give your best to everyone around you.  If this brings about feelings of guilt about selfishness, I understand but it does not mean you shouldn’t do it.  Give me a shout and I can help you put YOU at the top of your priority list!

Personal Reflection: What Have I Learned?

It has been a month since I last wrote my Personal Reflection for you and I have to say, I have missed sharing my learnings in this newsletter.  The greatest learning for me this month jumps out at me.  A few weeks ago, my computer crashed.  Completely.  I had no email, none of your addresses, no client files, no banking info - nothing.  And guess what?  I didn’t have anything backed up.  I can already hear my tech coach Sandra screaming at me saying “What were you thinking?  Haven’t I taught you anything?” However, that was exactly what happened.  The sheer horror of turning on my laptop to a blank screen is indescribable (I’m sure some of you can relate) and so I called my local computer expert Terry Wang of Wangs Computers and after a few days of him fiddling with my laptop (this is how teckie I am!!), he was not only able to recover everything for me, he was also able to purchase and install all new software and memory for me so that my laptop runs more efficiently than it used to.  Needless to say, Terry is now my hero!  Check him out at www.wangscomputers.com .  So what have I learned?  Absolutely that, regardless of how much I hate to spend time backing up files regularly, some tasks are necessary evils.  Guess I better go do some backing up now…..
