Greatness Tip!Personal fulfillment is a tall order. It requires us to have the courage to take
care of ourselves in what may seem to be an extreme way, and be leaders in
our lives and not victims. In other
words, living the best possible life requires choosing to reduce or eliminate
all the things/people that take you away from your best life AND nurturing
all the things/people that support your best life. Often times, people think that they have to
set goals for the future and just do them yet, they have not managed their
current blockages or drains in their life and they wonder why they are not
going anywhere. Are there relationships in your life that
drain you? A negative, judging friend
or family member, a disrespectful coworker, an underfunctioning partner, an
overfunctioning YOU, a dependent who does not contribute? Perhaps there are physical drains that
deplete all of your energy – messy house, piled-up paperwork, light bulb that has burned out for a year
and has not been replaced….the point is, they can be big or small things but
nonetheless, draining. Managing these
drains, putting them at bay, completing daunting, “procrastinable” tasks will
give you a clearer path towards a more fulfilling future. What drains can you tackle this week? SpotlightFrom Clutter to Clarity: Organizing your space and clearing your mind.I am very pleased to
say that Yvonne Attard Coaching and Well Done Organizing
is offering a seminar at Whole Foods in Oakville on Wednesday, October 4th and
we are fully booked with a lengthy waiting list. This tells me just one thing – there are a
lot of us who have a lot of clutter in our minds and spaces that we want help
managing. If you are interested in
clearing your mind and space and want to show up each day with a sense of
peace and groundedness, please contact Yvonne and
Lisa at yattard@cogeco.ca and we
would be pleased to bring you some tips and techniques that will help you
reduce the clutter. Personal Reflection: What Have I Learned? The last two weeks have
been a whirlwind for me. I am
realizing that things are never what you expect them to be. I have been experiencing extreme emotions
of joy, sadness, love, fear, control, out-of-control, appreciation and
wanting more because I have a lot on my plate right now. So yes, the life coach IS human and doesn’t
always have it all together, as some may suspect!! From being diligent and loving with my work
and clients, being focused on my fitness, to wanting to connect with loved
ones and planning family activities and events, I am allowing myself to be pulled
in all directions. What am I learning
from all of this? That I too need to
find time for JUST me, honour myself and all that I
need, set some clear boundaries that make me feel good about myself and say
no to the people and things that do not serve me well right now. And I also know that sometimes I need to
ask for help – thank goodness I’m talking to my coach tomorrow night! |
