Greatness Tip!Happy Halloween! Every year on this day, I always encourage
those around me to do something scary.
No, not just dress up, silly.
Something daring, something out of the box. Is there something that you’ve been afraid
to do that you could sum up the courage now to try? Maybe it’s approaching a difficult
relationship in a new way? Or perhaps
it’s trying a new sport or activity?
Is there someone you want to be closer to but have been afraid they
may not feel the same way? Or maybe it’s
a new skill or course you want to take and haven’t had the guts to sign up! Maybe you just need to ask for that raise. Today is the day! Do something scary today – when you take
risks, you are one step closer to achieving greatness in your life. I am curious about what you are going to do
today and would love to hear what your commitment is to this. Email me and let me know what you chose to
do that was scary – I’ll be eagerly waiting to hear from you - yattard@cogeco.ca.
SpotlightWomen’s groups – support & encouragementIn the two years that I
have been coaching, I am always amazed about the power of group
coaching. When people of like-minds
and similar goals come together, the energy of support and encouragement that
grows in the group explodes in a way that is so powerful, I have a hard time
finding the words to describe it. I
have seen groups of people, previously strangers, come together for life
coaching, support and personal growth that immediately bond and have grown to
become friends for life. In my coaching travels,
many women indicate to me that they would like to be a part of a group such
as what I just described. If you are
looking for coaching in a small group setting, where you have structure and a
facilitator for each meeting and coaching costs are significantly reduced
because the costs are shared, then please email me. I’d love to put something together for
January. Personal Reflection: What Have I Learned? It may seem that I
attend a lot of parties; I assure you that this is not the norm however this October, it just seems to be the case for me. Not only was it my birthday and birthdays of
many in my circle of family and friends, it is also Halloween. This weekend, my husband Dave and my girls,
Kaitlin and Megan threw a Halloween party for our
friends. The only rule – you had to
come in costume or you wouldn’t be let in.
Wow! Did that ever happen? Both adults and kids alike went all out! We had an absolute blast and the costumes
were just incredible. I am so in awe
of how much effort and creativity went into everyone’s costumes. Yes, I became the biker
chick I always knew was in me. I
noticed how much I enjoyed dressing up for this fun occasion and know that we
always need an outlet to just be somebody else for a change. It’s so fun, so expressive, so different. So
what did I learn? That there is a
rebellious side of me that came out in my biker chick outfit
that, hey, I really liked. Mmm….not sure how that is going to manifest itself but I
am curious and ready to see what happens. |
